Bible Study 8/23/30 - Exodus 4-6

Moses is given three signs for the people, staff turns into a snake, his hands becomes leprous like snow, he turns water from the Nike into blood. He asks that someone be sent to speak for him; Zipporah circumcised Eliezer. Aaron meets Moses in the Wilderness and they show the sings to the people, the people believe. Moses and Aaron ask for the people to be released by Pharaoh and he makes the burden on the people more difficult and the people then stand against Moses and Aaron. YHVH reveals himself as Jehovah and not as El Shaddai. He expresses what he Shall do for the people, then the descendants of Reuben, Simeon, and Levi are recounted and shows how midwives were made into houses.

Bible Study 08/16/20 - Exodus 1-3

Birth of Moses; Moses kills and Egyptian; Moses leaves Egypt and goes to Midian, marries Zipporah and has Gershom.  Moses sees the burning bush and is instructed by YHVH to bring the children of Israel from Egypt to Mt. Horeb.

Gedaliah’s assassination; Ishmael kills the 80 men from Shevhrm, Shiloh, and Samaria. Johanan rescues the remnant from Ishmael; Johanan asks Jeremiah to pray about where the remnant should go Judah or Egypt; YHVH tells the remnant to go to Judah and not go to Egypt but the people do not listen and YHVH pronounces his Wrath will he poured out against them. Prophecy of large covered with mortar. The wives are lighting incense to “queen of heaven”. The people refuse to repent and obey; Prophecy of Baruch

C.R.P. Day 232 - Habakkuk

Habakkuk vision of Babylonians; YHVH answers his prayer; Habakkuk’s prayer of erroneous utterances;

C.R.P. Day 231 - 2 Kings 24-25; 2 Chronicles 36

Nebuchadnezzar seizes Jerusalem; Jehoachin and Zedekiah last kings of Judah. Gedaliah governor of the remaining remnant of Judah is assassinated.

C.R.P. Day 230 - Jeremiah 38-40; Psalms 74, 79

Jeremiah was cast into the pit and was rescued by Ebed-Melech; If King Zedekiah surrenders to King of Babylonia he will live; Jerusalem falls; Gedaliah appointed as governor over the remnant in Judah.

C.R.P. Day 229 - Jeremiah 35-37

The Rechabites do not drink wine, sow seed or plant, build houses or plant a vineyard, they dwell in tents and hearten to the commands of their ancestor; Jeremiah writes on a scroll and Baruch presented to Jehudi who presents it to king Jehoiakim ho cuts it and burns it. YHVH has Jeremiah and Baruch prepare a 2nd scroll. King Zedekiah deals with the Chaldeans and Jeremiah is thrown in prison.
