C.R.P. Day 275 - Matthew 1; Luke 2;

The genealogy of Jesus - 14 generations from Abraham to David, from David to Babylonia exile, from Babylonia exile to Jesus; Joseph instructed to marry Mary as she conceived by the Holy Spirit, fulfilling the prophet that a virgin shall conceive and bear a son named Immanuel “God with us”; Caesar requests a census, Joseph goes from Galilee to Judea to be registered by the census with Mary; Mary gives birth to Jesus; An angel comes to the shepherds of the field and proclaims Jesus birth. The shepherds journey to Bethlehem to see Jesus. After 8 days Jesus was circumcised and his name was called Jesus; Mary waits the 33 days of purification and then they have him dedicated in the Temple; Simeon holds Jesus, as was promised to him by the Ho,y Spirit that he would not die before seeing Jesus Christ; Anna, daughter of Phanuel, from tribe of Asher, who served I. The Temple day and night, she spoke of Him to all who looked for redemption in Jerusalem; The child grew and was weaned. When he was 12 they went to Jerusalem for Passover (Pesach) and Joseph and Mary left and went for home Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem; Joseph and Mary searched for him and when they found him after 3 days in the Temple sitting in the midst of the teachers both listening and asking questions. Mary asked why did he do this to them and Jesus replied Why did you seek me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business. Then they returned to Nazareth.

Bible Study 9/27/20 - Exodus 19-21

The people arrive at the Wilderness of Sinai; YHVH has born us on the wings of eagles; We’re to be a people of ministers and a holy nation; The people agree to do everything that YHVH commands to Moses; the people prepare to enter into the bridal covenant with YHVH; Moses ascends the mountain and is given The 10 commandments. Then YHVH proceeds and gives the people the ordinances if the Law by which the Children of Israel are to adhere to and follow.

C.R.P. Day 274 - Luke 1; John 1;

Zacharias a priest of Levite’s, is visited by Gabriel during his time to serve in the Temple. Gabriel’s tells him that he will bear a son and to call his name John. Gabriel tells Zacharias that his son will be great in the sight of the Lord and shall not wine or strong drink (Nazarite vow) and will be filled with the Holy Spirit from mother’s womb; Zacharias doubts and is rendered mute until this is fulfilled; His wife Elizabeth conceives and hides herself for 5 months; in the sixth month Gabriel visits Elizabeth’s cousin Mary and tells her that she is blessed among women; That she will conceive and bear a Son and will call his name Jesus; He will be great, he will he called Son of the Highest, YHVH will give him the throne of David, and he will reign over Jacob forever; Mary will conceive by the Holy Spirit; Gabriel tells Mary that Elizabeth has conceived even though she was called barren. Mary goes and visits Elizabeth and the babe in Elizabeth lapsed inside of her; Zacharias speaks at the birth of Joy to declare his name John; John grew and became strong in spirit; Book of Joh tells of why John was sent ahead of Jesus; John bears witness of Jesus; John Baptizes with water but Jesus will baptize with the Holy Spirit; The disciples begin to follow Jesus, Simon Peter and Andrew, then Phillip and Nathanael;

C.R.P. Day 273 - Malachi

Prophecy from YHVH to Malachi, YHVH loves ?Jacob but despises Esau (Edom); The people do not honor YHVH; Offer stolen, lame, sick animals to YHVH would a King accept this? YHVH is King and he doesn’t accept this either! Kohen are to safeguard the knowledge; Judah took into marriage daughter of foreign god; YHVH is sending a messenger; YHVH says Return to Me and He will return to us; YYHVH will send Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of YHVH.

C.R.P. Day 272 - Nehemiah 12-13; Psalms 126

Ancestry of the Levite’s; The walls of the Temple were dedicated; Ammonite and Moabites are removed from the congregation; Eliashib stationed in a chamber of Temple, Nehemiah removes his belonging and him; Nehemiah restores the Levite’s portion; Nehemiah closes the gates on Sabbath so that no merchants can selling Sabbath, he then places Levite’s to guard Sabbath; Israelite men married foreign wives and the children don’t speak Hebrew; Nehemiah instructs them to not marry daughters of aliens nor give their sons to alien women, because even Solomon did not prevail in this area; Nehemiah cleansed then from all alien things.

C.R.P. Day 271 - Nehemiah 8-11

Note recording will say Nehemiah 8-10, but I read past there.  :)

The Torah is read to the people by Ezra on Rosh Shananah (Yom Teruah). The people are told not to weep and they offer the Sukkot in all there lands as it hadn’t been done since time of Joshua son of Nun; Levites song of praise; The sign to resolve to remain true to YHVH words; They settle back in Judah in their ancestral homes.

C.R.P. Day 270 - Nehemiah 6-7

Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, the enemies planned to harm Nehemiah; They sent 4 messages to him privately and Nehemiah refused to meet. Sanballat sent a 5th public message to frighten Nehemiah through the people of the accusations of Nehemiah wanting to become King of Judah; Nehemiah disputes these “fabrications of (Sanballat’s) heart”; Shemaiah, a false prophet, tries to cause Nehemiah to sin by him entering the Temple of God; Nehemiah realizes he was hired by Sanballat and Tobiah to cause a scandal; The wall is completed after 52 days; Many leaders and nobles swore allegiance to Tobiah; The Book of Lineage of the return of the exiles;

C.R.P. Day 269 - Nehemiah 1-5

Nehemiah, cupbearer of King Artaxerxes, was downcast because the wall of Jerusalem had been breached and the gates were set on fire; Nehemiah request leave to build the wall of Jerusalem to no longer be a source of humiliation; the building begins east, north, west, south, remainder of eastern wall; Sanballat and Tobiah ridicule the Jews and conspire against them; The workers continue building armed for battle; The debt of the people, mortgage fields and vineyards, their children are pressed into servitude; their so impoverished they can’t redeem their fields or vineyards;

C.R.P. Day 268 - Ezra 7-10

Ezra descendant of Aaron left a Babylon and went to Jerusalem to expound the Torah of YHVH to fulfill and teach its statutes and law in Israel; King Artaxeres gave permission for the exiles to return to Jerusalem; The genealogies of the Levites and their counts; Ezra proclaims a fast at the River Ahava; The Levite’s transgressed and married alien wives; The people of Israel intermarried with the people of the land; Ezra tore his garment and cloak, tore hair from his head and beard and sat down in silence; Ezra and the people weep profusely before the Temple of God; The guilty agree to send away their wives and offer a guilt offering of a ram for their guilt.

C.R.P. Day 267 - Esther 6-10

King Ahasuerus is unable to sleep and he has the book of chronicles read before him; Mordechai’s act to prevent Ahasuerus’ assassination is read; Mordechai is honored, by way of Haman; Haman’s suggestion is bestow upon Mordechai; Haman is summoned to the second banquet given by Queen Esther; Esther begs for the life of her and her people and reveals Haman plot to annihilate her people; Haman is hanged on the gallows he prepared for Mordechai; A decree is sent out for all Jews to defend themselves against Haman’s decree; the Jews defend themselves for 2 days and Mordechai asks them to remeber and keep Purim forever as an eternal remembrance; Haman’s 10 sons are also hanged;
