C.R.P. Day 268 - Ezra 7-10

Ezra descendant of Aaron left a Babylon and went to Jerusalem to expound the Torah of YHVH to fulfill and teach its statutes and law in Israel; King Artaxeres gave permission for the exiles to return to Jerusalem; The genealogies of the Levites and their counts; Ezra proclaims a fast at the River Ahava; The Levite’s transgressed and married alien wives; The people of Israel intermarried with the people of the land; Ezra tore his garment and cloak, tore hair from his head and beard and sat down in silence; Ezra and the people weep profusely before the Temple of God; The guilty agree to send away their wives and offer a guilt offering of a ram for their guilt.

C.R.P. Day 267 - Esther 6-10

King Ahasuerus is unable to sleep and he has the book of chronicles read before him; Mordechai’s act to prevent Ahasuerus’ assassination is read; Mordechai is honored, by way of Haman; Haman’s suggestion is bestow upon Mordechai; Haman is summoned to the second banquet given by Queen Esther; Esther begs for the life of her and her people and reveals Haman plot to annihilate her people; Haman is hanged on the gallows he prepared for Mordechai; A decree is sent out for all Jews to defend themselves against Haman’s decree; the Jews defend themselves for 2 days and Mordechai asks them to remeber and keep Purim forever as an eternal remembrance; Haman’s 10 sons are also hanged;

C.R.P. Day 266 - Esther 1-5

King Ahasuerushas a royal banquet; He summons Queen Vashti but she refuses to attend; He issues a decree that all women shows respect to their husbands, great and small alike; A search is called for Queen Vashti’s replacement; Mordechai’s niece Hadassah (Esther) was taken to the capital; Mordechai instructed her to not reveal her Jewish heritage; Esther pleases the King and becomes Queen; Haman is elevated among the King’s officials; Mordechai refuses to bow down to Haman; Haman plots to kill Haman and all Jews by a royal decree of the King; Mordechai wears sackcloth and ashes in front of the King’s gate; Esther send her servant to find out why her uncle refuses to don normal clothing; Esther goes before the King, without being summoned (which could be punishable by death) and prepares a banquet for the King and for Haman

Bible Study 09/20/20 - Exodus 16-18

Children of Israel journey from Elim (A grove of palms) to Wilderness of Sin (Clay, mire, thorny); 1 month after leaving Egypt; 3rd complaint there’s no bread and meat, YHVH responds with quail and manna; He tests them on following his instructions gathering for only 6 days with a double portion on the 6th day; they journey from Sin to Rephidim (props or supports) and 4th complaint there’s no water for them, children, and livestock; YHVH stands before them at Horeb (arid, desolation) and Moses strikes the rock and waters flow; he called the place Massah U’Meribah (Temptation, trial, contention); they there are attacked by Amalek (people of lapping); Joshua and army defend people and win in the evening; Jethro father-in-law of Moses returns Zipporah, Gershom and Eliezer to Moses; Moses judges the people from morning to evening; Jethro advises to appoint others to bear the burden with him so that they will arrive at their destination in peace; Moses heeds Jethro;

C.R.P. Day 265 - Zechariah 10-14

False leaders comfort with meaningless words; YHVH angers is kindled against the shepherds; YHVH took two staffs one called Noam (Beauty) and the other called Hobelim (Bands); YHVH broke the staff called Noam and annulled his covenant that he sealed with the peoples. He asked for his fee back 30 silver coins; Then he broke Nobelim staff; God will protect Jerusalem; He will remove the false prophets and the spirit of impurity; A day is coming for war against Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives will split; All the nations will celebrate Sukkot;

C.R.P. Day 264 - Zechariah 5-9

Zechariah sees a flying scroll which is a curse, an ephah which is greed, a block of lead (false weights), and a woman which is wickedness and took the woman to Shinar (Babylonia); Zechariah sees 4 chariots, emerging from two copper mountains; the 1st had red horses, 2nd had black horses, 3rd had white horses, the 4th had spotted, gray horses; Where did the red horses go? Man called Zemah is mentioned again; People ask Zechariah if they should weep and fast like they did before? YHVH has great Zeal for Zion; Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth and the mountain of YHVH Will called the Holy Mountain; Prophecy for the land of Hadrach, with Damascus it’s resting place.

C.R.P. Day 263 - Zechariah 1-4

YHVH tells Zechariah the prophet that He will return to Judah; YHVH has called for the a temple to be rebuilt; Zechariah sees a vision of four horns and four carpenters, a man with a measuring line; Then Zechariah sees Joshua the Kohen Gadol and HaSatan accusing him; The angel spoke up for Joshua and requested the filthy garments be removed from Joshua and a pure turban be placed on his head; Zechariah has a vision of the Menorah and two olives trees who are two anointed men.

C.R.P. Day 262 - Haggai

YHVH tells Haggai to tell the people it is time to rebuild the Temple; YHVH says the Glorify the Temple; YHVH has Haggai ask the Kohanim about what is defiled and what is not defiled. YHVH makes Zerubbabel like His signet ring;

C.R.P. Day 261 - Ezra 4-6; Psalms 137

The enemies of Judah and Benjamin falsely offer to help rebuild the a Temple. When they are turned away they work to stop the rebuilding of the a Temple by sending a letter to King Artaxerxes. Haggai and Zechariah prophesy; King Darius investigates the matter and find that King Cyrus issued the decree for the Temple to be built in Jerusalem. The Temple is inaugurated and the Pesach offering is offered.

C.R.P. Day 260 - Ezra 1-3

Cyrus King of Persia, honored YHVH and allowed the Children of Israel to reign to Jerusalem to rebuild the Temple; The people returned by their families, and by their cities; The Levites and Kohanim returned and the Nethinim; The people built the altar in the 7th month and they observed Sukkot; They began to reconstruct the Temple, the elders weep and the younger people rejoiced over the new Temple.
