Ahab and Ben-Hadad King of Aram wage war against one another. Ahab desires Naboth’s vineyard. Naboth keeps his ancestral heritage. Jezebel has Naboth killed. YHVH sends Elijah to rebuke Ahab.

C.R.P. Day 178 - 1 Kings 17-19

Elijah the Prophet; Elijah saves the widows’ son; Elijah tells Obadiah to summon Ahab to him; Elijah kills the 450 prophets of Baal. Elijah tells the people of Israel to draw near, and asks the people how long will they dance between two opinions. After the people return to YHVH the drought (famine) ends and the rains come. Elijah flees after Jezebel threatens his life. The small thin voice of YHVH direct Elijah to anoint Hazael, Jehu and Elisha.
